YAP Women Council holds National Salvation Day conference

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Women Council held a conference in the YAP headquarter in Khatai District of Baku on Thursday on the occasion of June 15 â€“ the National Salvation Day, APA reports. YAP Women Council chairwoman Nurlana Aliyeva made a report â€œHeydar Aliyevâ€™s epochâ€. She said there were many outstanding persons in the history of national statehood of Azerbaijan, but there were no other person being so closer to the people and devoted his lifetime to the people like Heydar Aliyev. â€œHeydar Aliyev is a leader, who founded a state based on the democratic principles. Today Heydar Aliyevâ€™s ideas are developed by Ilha Aliyevâ€. Nurlana Aliyeva made a broad report on the Heydar Aliyevâ€™s coming to power, leadership of independent Azerbaijan and his policy.

MP Elmira Akhundova spoke about her memoirs of the meetings with Heydar Aliyev during her journalistic activity and noted that Heydar Aliyev attached special attention to the journalists. Guler Ahmadova expressed her thoughts on the Heydar Aliyevâ€™s policy on the Azerbaijani language.

Other YAP activist women also delivered speeches at the conference. At the end they viewed video-report about Heydar Aliyev.
