Department Chief of the Presidential Administration: â€œIran has no right to remark upon the Azerbaijanâ€™s relations with any countryâ€

It is contradictory to Islamism, neighborhood and humanitarian action as wellâ€, Chief of the Public Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said reacting to the Iran officialsâ€™ recent statements on Azerbaijan. â€œWe donâ€™t interfere in the internal affairs and foreign policy of any country, including the neighboring countries, and we donâ€™t wish that some countries to interfere in the internal affairs and foreign policy of Azerbaijanâ€.

Hasanov added that Azerbaijan would not allow any country to interfere in its actions or to express opinion on that. â€œWe stated for many times that Iran has strategic friendly relations with Armenia, which occupied the Azerbaijani lands. We donâ€™t make statement for Iran. We only express our opinion. Iran has no right to remark upon the Azerbaijanâ€™s foreign policy or its external relations. We are establishing our relations with Iran on this basis too. We aim that there will not be any action against Iran from Azerbaijanâ€™s territory or against Azerbaijan from Iranâ€™s territory, that Azerbaijanâ€™s policy not to harm Iran or Iranâ€™s policy not to harm Azerbaijan. This is a neighborhood. We donâ€™t accept the framework that â€œif we have no good relations with some country, you shouldnâ€™tâ€™ have relations with it eitherâ€.

Hasanov said Iranian authorities were not correct to make statement that Israeli Presidentâ€™s visit to Azerbaijan would be disrespect to the Muslim world. â€œWe donâ€™t think so. Israel is an independent country. We are estimating its actions objectively. We condemned its actions against the Palestinians and Muslim areas for many times, it doesnâ€™t mean that we have not to establish relations with this country. If it is so, we can ask a question. Armenia pursues genocide policy against Azerbaijan. Is it correct to embrace the country pursued genocide policy?â€
