Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. The house of Rasim Ughurluyev, head of Azerbaijani Diaspora in Luhansk province was bombed and destroyed by militants, he and his family were banned from entering the city of Luhansk.
Chairman of the Luhansk Azerbaijanis Congress Rasim Ughurluyev told APA that he and his family were banned from entering Luhansk and threatened with being killed in case the ban is broken.
He said that his house in quarter Shevchenko, the center of Luhansk was bombed by militants.
“We are currently living in Kiev as refugees. However, we are in close contact with members of Congress about the condition of the Azerbaijanis living in the Luhansk province. We are facing serious difficulties as we left all our business in Luhansk,” he noted.
R. Ughurluyev said they informed the State Committee for Work with Diaspora about the situation.
Press service of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora told APA that they are aware of what happened, and works are underway for taking appropriate measures.
