Nazim Ibrahimov: â€œOur Diaspora organizations have already reached a phase of practical workâ€

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. First Congress of the World Azerbaijani Youth will be held in Baku next year, Chairman of the State Committee for Diaspora Activities Nazim Ibrahimov said at a press conference dedicated to the results of the expiring year, APA reports. He said next congress of the World Azerbaijanis would be held in 2012. He also noted that Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations abroad have already reached a phase of practical work. â€œAzerbaijani Diaspora Organizations expanded their activity all over the world. They got influence opportunities and are participating in the elective organizations of the countries where they live. The Diaspora organizations change from defense to offense, as President Ilham Aliyev urged them. The Diaspora Organizations are led by the politically mature peopleâ€.

Ibrahimov said the Diaspora organizations would hold a number of events next year. â€œAll Diaspora organizations will hold events on the anniversary of 20 January tragedy and Khojaly Genocideâ€.

The committee chairman mentioned that no country had recognized the Khojaly Genocide yet. â€œThe recognition of the genocide is a complicated process and even friendly countries avoid making such stepâ€.
