Moscow State Institute of International Relations hosts event dedicated to 85th anniversary of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - PHOTOSESSION
Azerbaijani ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu welcomed the representatives of the Supreme Mejlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on behalf of the Azerbaijanis living in Russia and thanked the MGIMO authorities for the hosting the event. He said the event was initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its representative in Moscow Leila Aliyeva and was supported by the embassy.
“Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is a part of Azerbaijan, which gave to Azerbaijan and the world such a person as Heydar Aliyev. All spheres have been developing in Nakhchivan in recent years. This is important event that 85th anniversary of the Autonomous Republic is celebrated in Russia because Russia is our strategic partner and neighborâ€.
Head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation representation in Moscow Leila Aliyeva noted that Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic celebrates its 85th anniversary and it is marked in a high level. She also thanked the MGIMO authorities for their support to organize this event. “We are learning to establish relations based on mutual understanding and respect with the learning of cultural and historical roots, traditions, existed realities, and successes of each other. Nakhchivan is an integral part of Azerbaijan. This is a place, which history contains many interesting facts and based on the millenniums. I believe that today everyone will talk about the nature, history and contemporary development of Nakhchivan. You will learn what problems the autonomous republic faced and how the Nakhchivan population could overcome these problems. Everyone knows the outstanding Azerbaijanis born in Nakhchivan. Today you will see contemporary face of Nakhchivanâ€.
Vice Prime Minister of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Tarana Guliyeva, historian professor Rudolf Ivanov, member of the Azerbaijani parliament Elmira Akhundova, deputy director of the post-soviet research center of the Moscow State University Alexander Karavaev made reports at the event. Then viewers visited the photo-exhibition and viewed the documentary dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The event followed by the concert performed by the singers from Nakhchivan.
