Moscow. Roman Agayev – APA. The solemn opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “Baku with love” by famous Russian photographer and painter Gueorgui Pinkhassov took place in Moscow, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports. The exhibition was organized by the Baku magazine, Moscow House of Photography, Moscow Government and Moscow Cultural Department.

Director of Moscow House of Photography Olga Sviblova said the ceremony was the holiday of the Baku magazine, the initiator of the exhibition.

Making a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, editor-in-chief of the Baku magazine, head of Russian representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, chairperson of Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia Leyla Aliyeva mentioned that the magazine was first published two years ago.
“Our aim is to make our readers feel the unique atmosphere, aura of Baku. In our magazine we speak about the history of Azerbaijan and its capital, Azerbaijani culture, customs and traditions, talented persons, persons with interesting fate. In other words, we write about Baku residents, those residents who love this city and always speak about it with love. This event is the next demonstration of love for Baku,” she said.

Following this, Leyla Aliyeva invited the participants to get acquainted with the works by Gueorgui Pinkhassov.
“The creative activity of this person is a great art and I do not doubt that he has created all this with great love – love for Baku…” she said.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia said it was gratifying to organize such an exhibition in Moscow.
“We are proud of the modern and splendid Baku magazine published in Russia. This magazine is read in Russia with great interest,” he said.

The ambassador said Pinkhassov created splendid works about Baku.
“I am grateful to the author for presenting Baku so nicely, and grateful to Leyla Aliyeva and the editorial staff of the magazine for organizing the event,” he said.

Gueorgui Pinkhassov said Baku is indeed a beautiful city.
“I tried to present beautiful, sunny Baku as it is and achieved it. It is great to have achieved it,” he said.

“Natig ritm” group led by Natig Shirinov performed in the event.

The photo exhibition will last till December 13.
