Union of Azerbaijani Women’s Organization in Europe establishes initiative group - <font color=red> PHOTO</font>

Baku â€“ APA. Union of Azerbaijani Women’s Organization in Europe has established initiative group, press service of Azerbaijan State Committee for Diaspora told APA. The women, who met after the joint meeting of European Azerbaijanis Congress and Azerbaijani-Turkish Diaspora Organizations Coordination Council in Frankfurt, underlined that phenomenon of â€œAzerbaijani womanâ€ should be promoted in Europe and the Azerbaijani women living there should do more for it. Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Womenâ€™s Union in the Netherlands, member of writers union of Azerbaijan and the Netherlands Gulshan Kazimova, who first put forward the initiative, made a speech. She said that the idea of establishing such a group had been put forward to make the Azerbaijani women living in Europe more active. Kazimova said the new union would improve the cooperation among the Azerbaijani women, as well as womenâ€™s organizations, they would be in close contact with one another.

The initiative group includes women activists of Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. The initiative group will also involve women organizations in other countries, prepare the unionâ€™s concept and hold the first conference in the first half of 2010.
