“Azerbaijan-Hungary: cross-culture dialogue” conference in Budapest

Baku – APA. 4th international scientific conference of series “Azerbaijan-Hungary: cross-culture dialogue” was held in Budapest, press service of the State Committee for Diaspora Activities told APA. The conference was organized by the State Committee for Diaspora Activities, Azerbaijani embassy in Hungary, the Institute of Economics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Institute of World Economy of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Azerbaijani-Hungarian Friendship Group of the Azerbaijani parliament. The conference focused on the economic, legal and political issues.
Member of the Azerbaijani parliament Khanhuseyn Kazimli, head of the Azerbaijani-Hungarian Friendship Group of the Hungarian parliament Janos Horvatz, members of the group, director of the ANAS Institute of Economics Isa Aliyev and staff members of the institute, director of the Hungarian Institute of World Economy, representatives of the economic and legal institutes attended the conference. In his welcoming speech, Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Hasan Hasanov said the conference was fourth of series of scientific forums organized by the embassy in Budapest, and first forum of Azerbaijani and Hungarian economists. Hasanov informed about previous conferences of the series “Azerbaijan-Hungary: cross-culture dialogue”.
Hungarian foreign minister Peter Balajin sent a letter of congratulation to the conference.
Assistant director of the ANAS Institute of Economics Allahyar Muradov made a report on Azerbaijan’s investment-innovative activity in non-oil sector. Khanhuseyn Kazimli submitted statistics about the Azerbaijan’s achievements in the development of national economy.
In the end, the participants watched a documentary about Azerbaijan. The 4th International Scientific Conference’s unit on History, Archeology, Ethnography and Linguistics will be held on November 17-19.
