Azerbaijan elected president of General Assembly of States Parties to 2003 Convention

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan told APA that Azerbaijani Permanent Representative to UNESCO, Ambassador Elenora Huseynova, Director of International Relations and Cultural Programs Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Vasif Eyvazzadeh, representative of the National Commission for the UNESCO Leyla Hajizadeh and expert for the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Sanuber Baghirova represent Azerbaijan in the session.

The bureau of the session consisting of the president, 5 vice-presidents and a rapporteur has been elected in the opening session. Azerbaijani Permanent Representative to UNESCO, Ambassador Elenora Huseynova has been unanimously elected as a president of the General Assembly for 2 year.

Azerbaijan has been elected as member of the intergovernmental committee for the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in the 3rd session of the General Assembly of States Parties to the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
