"Our main goal is to share our country's experience in reducing carbon emissions with other countries,” Jing Hu, a representative of the China Energy Fund said, APA reports.

"As a result of the mechanisms implemented in the field of combating climate change, a number of state programs have been put forward in our country. The Shanghai region is an important energy center. There are mines which produce coal here. China aims to increase the country's supply of environmentally friendly energy to 60 percent by 2030 thanks to the measures implemented in this region. The transition to Green Energy will serve to protect not only our country, but also the population and nature of the region as a whole."

Yuanfeng Wu, one of the UN Climate Change project leaders, spoke about the measures taken in China in this area:

"We are trying to implement carbon communications in various fields. From time to time, we hold tree planting and nature conservation campaigns in various universities, schools, as well as among employees in a number of workplaces. We believe that measures to be taken against climate change should start with prioritizing greening and a green economy."
