"The contributions that developed countries should make to climate finance are inversely proportional to the damage they cause to nature," this was stated at the "Action Aid" conference organized within the framework of COP29, APA reports.
The participants of the event noted that some developed countries are trying to profit from the problems of poor countries.
It was emphasized that these countries are trying to evade responsibility and not participate in the climate finance initiative, and are taking a number of steps for this purpose.
Those who take such steps should know that the responsibility of these countries in the emergence of the problem of global climate change is many times greater than that of others.
Teresa Anderson – the Global Climate Justice Lead at ActionAid International emphasized that they consider it necessary to increase the share of developed countries in climate finance: “All responsibility for preventing the consequences of climate change lies with developed countries. They should first of all think about eliminating the crisis situation in this area."
