Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has commented on his meeting with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
In an interview with Iran's state television, Masoud Pezeshkian described his meeting with Mojtaba Khamenei as positive and productive.
According to Pezeshkian, the meeting went very well and lasted approximately seven hours. He noted that almost all issues concerning Iran were discussed during this time.
The Iranian President emphasized that the main topics discussed at the meeting were people's livelihoods, employment and housing: “We also discussed the problems caused by sanctions. The position of the government and the nation, public support, unity and solidarity were among the other issues discussed in detail at this meeting.”
Pezeshkian added that the Supreme Leader's most important recommendation was “unity and solidarity” within the country.
The Iranian President stressed that under the current circumstances, nothing is more important than unity because “one of the enemy's main objectives is to create discord within the country.”
It should be noted that yesterday, Pezeshkian met with Mojtaba Khamenei on the occasion of the beginning of the third year of his presidency.
