“Destruction of ecosystems can lead to the destruction of all mankind,” said Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia during his speech in a video address to the participants of the Baku Global Summit of Religious Leaders, APA reports.
Considering the extent of the threat, he emphasized the need for active participation of religious leaders in solving climate problems.
“I hope that the united voice of the leaders of traditional religions gathered here today will be heard by decision-makers and will contribute to the salvation of God's creation. I wish you meaningful and fruitful discussions, success and help from above in all your work and endeavors.”
