"During the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, no restrictions will be imposed on vehicles registered in regions of Azerbaijan traveling to Baku," Head of the Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Namidan Piriyev said at a briefing on the transport plan to be implemented during COP29, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that there would be no inspections at checkpoints for vehicles coming from the districts: "It is possible that, depending on the flow of events, some checkpoints may be set up on certain roads and restrictions may be implemented. In such cases, alternative routes will be advised. At the restricted checkpoints, vehicles may still be allowed to pass at intervals."
