A media tour was organized by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency on the eve of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), APA-Economics reports.
According to the report, an electric bus that was brought to Baku was used during the visit of representatives of media organizations to the “Koroglu” Transportation Exchange Center-Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
It should be noted that 160 electric buses have been brought to Baku, which will be monitored 24 hours a day through the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency Monitoring Center.
Journalists were informed about that Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency's preparation and role of the COP29 conference, as well as the establishment of a Headquarters that will operate continuously for the operational solution of situations that may arise during the event and for the effective exchange of information. It was noted that work is being carried out with carriers to facilitate the use of public transport for passengers and that a number of buses are being attracted to the line in accordance with demand.
Within the frameworj of the media tour, a new TX5 electric taxi vehicle was introduced at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
In general, in order to avoid disruptions in transportation during COP29, special traffic lanes were organized on 26 streets and avenues of the capital - Neftchilar, Heydar Aliyev, Khojaly, Shah Ismail Khatai, Parliament, Bulbul and Azadlig avenues, Zugulba road, the airport, Zigh and Salyan highways, Bunyad Sardarov, Hasan Seyidbayli, Sheikh Shamil, Mirzaaga Aliyev, Hasanoglu, Mikayil Usenov (in the direction of Bayrag Square), Gulara Gadirbayova, Niyazi, Istiglaliyyat, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Koroglu Rahimov, Mehdi Huseyn, Mikayil Mushfig, Hasan Aliyev and Fatali Khan Khoyski streets.
Other vehicles are prohibited from entering those lanes.
