“The message that the Global Baku Summit of Religious Leaders will give to the world will be extremely important to overcome future threats,” said Ramin Mammadov, the Chairman of State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations at Baku Global Summit of Religious Leaders, APA reports.

He said that part of this message could be a call to the subjects of the international relations system: "There’s a need for states and international organizations to be working harder to reduce the consequences of global warming.

The summit of religious leaders will once again remind people of faith of the importance of protecting God's creation. It will invite each of us to participate in the fight against global climate changes, regardless of where we live and what our religious beliefs are, in order to protect our future and that of our children.

Religious leaders will also appeal to people regardless of their religious, ethnic and social affiliation. We are on the brink of real danger. Sharing the responsibility can be our best way of fighting, our most effective tool to overcome global challenges.”

The Chairman of the Committee emphasized that by liberating Garabagh from occupation, Azerbaijan also contributes to the tackle against global climate change.

Ramin Mammadov said that a green energy zone is being created in the liberated territories: "Azerbaijan has been a victim of injustice for 30 years. By liberating its territories from occupation, it saved a large area that was subject to ecocide from disaster. Now, smart cities and smart villages are being built on these lands, and a green energy zone is being created.”
