On October 28, the leadership of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, held a meeting at the Border Control Command of the State Border Service at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in order to organize border control, as well as to get acquainted with the work done and to review the level of preparation within the framework of the COP29 international conference, the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be held in Azerbaijan, Press Center of the State Border Service told APA.
The tasks set by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev to the State Border Service in connection with the international event, were delivered to the personnel of the Border Control Command.
By the head of the State Border Service, Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev, and the President of "Azerbaijan Airlines" Closed Joint Stock Company, Samir Rzayev, a revising of special technical equipment and control equipment was carried out to ensure the application of technical progress, the effectiveness of security measures, the prompt verification of foreign guests' documents, and the rapid transition from passport control.
After listening to the reports on the work done in the service consultation, the management of the State Border Service gave the necessary recommendations and instructions on the high level of performance of the tasks assigned to the Border Control Command in connection with the prestigious international event to be held in Azerbaijan.
