Baku-APA. The six international mediators, known as the P5+1, should resume nuclear talks with Iran this month, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Friday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

"It is very much desirable to hold the full-scale round of talks between the six powers and Iran before the end of January. Now everyone should demonstrate the will and flexibility for that," Interfax news agency quoted Ryabkov as saying.

He also urged those involved to decide soon on the timetable and venue for the talks, but refused to comment on Tehran's position.

"Since the issue has not been settled yet, there's no sense to disclose the details," Ryabkov said.

It has been five months since the last round, in Moscow, and, according to Ryabkov, Iran and the P5+1 (the UN Security Council's five permanent members -- the United States, Britain, France, Russia and China -- plus Germany) still have not reached agreement on the place and date of next round.

The parties have held several rounds of talks over Iran's controversial nuclear program, but no agreement has been reached so far. Both sides are currently in contact on the talks.
