Moscow–APA. Russia’s Gazprom cut Europe natural gas supply via Ukraine to 65.3 million cubic meters, said chairman of Gazprom Board of Governors Alexander Miller at his meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, APA reports quoting RIA-Novosti. “There is a proposal to cut gas supply to the Russia-Ukraine border to 65.3 million cubic meters, volume of the stolen gas and also to cut further to the volume of stolen gas per day”, said Miller. “That’s all right with me. Cut it from today”, replied Putin. The Prime Minister asked to inform the European partners about the decision. The Gazprom chief said they would do best to compensate the cutting of gas supply with other ways. He said they would increase gas supply via Belaus, Poland and Turkey.
Putin took interest how it would impact on the life of Ukrainian people. Miller said he personally delivered the order about unilateral stopping of talks with Gazprom to the Ukrainian president Victor Yushchenko. The Russian Prime Minister said: “He doesn’t feel sorry for his people?!” Miller told Putin that Ukraine produced 20 billion cm natural gas p/y and pumped even more to the underground storages. “Therefore the Ukrainian people should not suffer”. The company’s chief said Ukraine had 600 million dollars of gas debt and it would rise soon because of stolen gas.
