Russian emergency groups rescue 90 thousand people this year

Moscow–APA. Emergency situations in Russia were reduced for 11 percent in 2008. 90 thousand peoples were saved in the rescue operations conducted by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia headed by Sergei Shoygu, APA reports. Minister Shoygu sum up the results of outgoing year and said death cases reduced for 21 percent and injuries for 5 percent in compare with last year. Sergei Shoygu said the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted 27 humanitarian operations outside the country this year. The largest rescue operations were held in the quake-hit areas of China and in the conflict zone in South Ossetia.
