Three-block coalition in Ukraineâ€™s Parliament

Kievâ€“APA. The factions of Our Ukraine â€“ Peopleâ€™s Self-Defense Bloc, the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, and the Lytvynâ€™s Bloc, have signed an agreement on forming a coalition in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, APA reports quoting the Ukrainian UNIAN agency. On behalf of BYuT faction, the agreement was signed by faction head Ivan Kyrylenko, on behalf of OU-PSD â€“ faction deputy head Borys Tarasyuk, and on behalf of Lytvyn`s Bloc faction â€“ its head Ihor Sharov. Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn did not attend the signing ceremony.
I.Kyrylenko informed that the coalition will be called â€œNational Development, Stability, and Orderâ€. He stressed that the coalition agreement includes three key proposals. In particular, it stipulates that the issue of Ukraineâ€™s joining NATO will be solved on results of an all-Ukrainian referendum. According to I.Kyrylenko, the Lytvynâ€™s Bloc put forward a proposal concerning the land market. The agreement stipulates that the land sales will start after the Verkhovna Rada passes the respective legislation. The third issue is about recognizing of status of the national-movement activists against the Soviet power and fascists in 1940s. The Our Ukraine â€“ People-Self-Defense faction gathered the necessary number of votes in support of the â€œcoalition of threeâ€, and members of parliament Vyacheslav Kyrylenko and Roman Zvarych resigned from posts of OU-PSD faction leaders. The lawmaker stressed that the OU-PSD faction gathered 37 votes in support of the decision to sign the coalition agreement on forming the coalition of BYuT, OU-PSD and the Lytvynâ€™s Bloc.
