New Georgian Foreign Minister: “We will not change our policy towards Russia”

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh-APA. “The war continues, therefore we should work all day”, Grigol Vasadze, new Georgian Foreign Minister said, APA reports.
He stated that Georgia’s foreign policy against Russia would not change.
“We have pursued considered and respective policy towards Russia every time,” he said. Vasadze underlined that he would nominate for the post of head of Georgia’s permanent representation in UN soon. After resignation of former Foreign Minister, Irakli Alasania, head of Georgia’s permanent representation in UN resigned voluntary.
Appointment of new Minister caused various reactions in the country. Appointment of Vasadze, having Russian and Georgian citizenship is assessed as attempt for normalization of relations between Tbilisi and Moscow. New Foreign Minister has good relations with several Russian diplomats.
