Moscow–APA. Foreign mercenaries fought from Georgian side during war in South Ossetia in August, 2008, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
Alexander Bastrykin, Director of the Investigation Committee of the Russian Prosecution said that mercenaries from the US, Czechia, Turkey, Ukraine and Chechnya were among Georgian army during war in South Ossetia on August 8. Moreover, investigation finds out that Georgia have used banned arms.
Bastryikin added that investigation would continue two months.
“I can say that grave crime committed against people of South Ossetia,” he said.
