Tbilisi –APA. US President George Bush congratulated the Georgian people on 5th anniversary of the “Revolution of Rosesâ€, APA reports quoting News Georgia agency. Bush said Georgian people made one of the most inspirational pages of the history of freedom. “Fiver years ago thirsting for liberty and armed only with roses in hand, citizens throughout Georgia peacefully staked claim to their God-given right of liberty. On this anniversary, Americans honor the brave Georgian citizens who defended freedom, and we renew our commitment to supporting Georgia’s democracy, independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrityâ€, said Bush in his message.
The United States made present to Georgia on the eve of anniversary of the “Revolution of Rosesâ€. Georgia received first $250- million tranche of the financial assistance of the US International development Agency. The United States allocated totally one billion dollar for restoration of Georgia after the war with Russia.
