Armenian former foreign minister Vardan Oskanian returns to politics

Yerevanâ€“APA. Armenian former foreign minister Vardan Oskanian announced in his interview to Shant TV Channel he would return to the politics in appropriate time. Oskanian heads the Civilitas Foundation now. He did not say which format he would choose to return to politics. â€œTime will show it will be political party or other formatâ€. Oskanian said he held meetings and consultations then and learned opinion of even the ordinary people and added that it didnâ€™t relate to the former president Robert Kocharian. â€œRobert Kocharian is resting now and has not decided yet what work he will engage in. But I made a decisionâ€.

Oskanian founded Civilitas Foundation on June 5, 2008 to assist programs for correct understanding of Armeniaâ€™s foreign policy and deepening of democracy in the country. Former speaker of Georgian parliament Nino Burjanadze, former foreign minister of Canada Lloyd Axworthy, former minister of education of Israel Yosi Sarid, member of US Jewish Committee Peter Rosenblatt, member of Turkish Helsinki Committee Murad Belge and other well-known people were involved in the foundationâ€™s Board of Trustees.
