Tbilisi–APA. Amnesty International issued report on situation in buffer strip between Georgia and separatist South Ossetia. 24 thousand ethnic Georgians are still unable to return to their homes in South Ossetia, because there is no guarantee for their safe return, said in the report, APA quotes Reuters. “A new twilight zone has been created along the de facto border between South Ossetia and the rest of Georgia, into which people stray at their peril. Looting, shooting, explosions and abductions have all been reported in the last few weeks”, said Amnesty International Europe and Central Asia Program Director Nicola Duckworth.
