Medvedev offers to establish â€˜large governmentâ€™ in Russia

â€œI suggest thinking about the establishment of the so-called â€˜large governmentâ€™ or, which is sometimes called the extended government,â€ Medvedev said. â€œIt will act in cooperation with the ruling party, which may form such a government, with United Russia, the civil society, experts, regional and municipal administrations, and with all the people ready to vote for us. And even with those who donâ€™t agree with us, in case they are ready for it,â€ he added.

Medvedev said that he planned to discuss the structure of the future Cabinet and the principles of its functioning during the pre-election campaign.

â€œI plan to discuss the system of public administration with you, with other people and with our whole civil society,â€ the president added.

He also added that when he started working as a government official, he had no illusions, but he had a â€˜feeling of a successful personâ€™, practicing lawyer and a scientist in the field of law.

â€œI though I knew very well how the state machine worked. But Iâ€™ve made a mistake. Everything turned out to be more complicated and in some of the issues even more frightening,â€ Medvedev said.
