Kiev angry with Alexander Lukashenko’s insult to Ukrainian leadership

He said any statement has influence on the development of the mutual relations.
“There is no room for emotions in the politics and assessment of bilateral relations,” he said.

Ambassador said Ukraine several times invited Lukashenko to the events on the 25th anniversary of Chernobyl tragedy (April 26).
“Belarus did not reply until the last minute. Only on Monday we learnt from the statement of Alexander Lukashenko’s spokesman that he will not come,” he said.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said Ukrainian leadership should be asked why he did not attend the events on Chernobyl disaster on April 26. He told journalists to ask Viktor Yanukovych about it and called the current leadership of Ukraine a lousy one (in Russian “vshiviy”).
