Doku Umarov’s doctor killed
The air and land forces destroyed a militant base training suicide-bombers, including the ones planning terrorist attacks in North Ossetia and Ingushetia. Two people involved in the terrorist attack at the International Airport of Domodedovo in Moscow were also captured. It has been the biggest operation in the North Caucasus in the last years. The police say that Buzurtanov has been Umarov’s doctor for many years and was assisting him in all campaigns. Most of the medicine he carried consisted of insulin and injectors. Doku Umarov suffers from diabetes.
The police of the North Caucasian Federal District reported that Umarov himself had possibly been among the killed militants on Tuesday. Experts will make the final conclusions. Two more militants were killed in the Ingush village of Nizhny Alkun. The militants were heading to the based destroyed in the operation. They carried bomb equipment. One of them was identified as Syroyev Ibragim Shakhmurziyevich, born in 1987, an active militant.
