Meeting with the nationalist intellectuals Yushchenko expressed his gratitude to them.
“We did our best to raise awareness of the people concerning democracy, national choice and integration into Europe,†he said.
Asked whom he will support in the elections on February 7, Yushchenko did not answer the question.
He said he was not leaving politics, he had no moral right to do it.
Yushchenko said early parliamentary elections will be held in the country soon.
Viktor Yushchenko got 5.6 percent of the votes on January 17 and was the fifth.
Leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovich and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko will participate in the second round of the elections.
