Tbilisi. Nino Jvania – APA. Haiti couldn’t accommodate humanitarian cargo planes of the world countries, including Georgia because of technical problems, APA Georgian bureau reports.
The Georgian plane with 20 Georgian TV journalists and cameramen should take off from the Tbilisi international airport for Haiti at 5.00 am on Friday, but the flight was cancelled.
The Georgian ministries of health and foreign affairs collected foods, medicines and first aid things to send humanitarian assistance to quake-hit Haiti. The Georgian Interior Ministry also planned to send 20 rescuers to the country.
