Two persons pulled from rubbles of collapsed building in Tbilisi died

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. Two injured persons pulled from the rubbles of the building that collapsed in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, died in hospital. APA’s Georgia bureau correspondent reports from the site that the collapsed building as been surrounded.

Nothing is known about the other two under the rubbles. They have supposedly died.

Rescuers, police and experts are working on the site. The causes of the collapse are not known. According to the witnesses, the building was being repaired, four workers remainder under the rubbles.

Officials in the former Soviet republic of Georgia say two people have been killed after the collapse of a building belonging to the Justice Ministry in the capital.

The entire central section of the nine-story building in Tbilisi crumbled to the ground Friday, killing two construction workers and trapping two others.

The nine-storey building belongs to Georgia’s Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance. Earlier, Georgian guards were located there.

The building collapsed this afternoon.
