Georgia accuses Russia in ceasefire violation

Tbilisi. Nino Jvania – APA. Georgian Foreign Ministry accused the Russian Federal Security Service in violation of ceasefire regime reached on August 12, 2008 as the UN World Food Program’s vehicles were not allowed to enter Perevi village, APA Georgian correspondent reports.

“Moscow continues to politicize the humanitarian affairs. Moscow demands the international organizations accredited in Georgia to apply Kremlin-controlled Tskhinvali regime for entrance to the occupied territories”, said the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

The ministry stated that such actions threaten legal rights and interests of the citizens settled in the occupied territories and violate their rights. “The international organizations should provide its humanitarian activity in Georgia without barriers”.

Russian security officials didn’t allow the UN World Food Program vehicles to entry Perevi village of Sachkherski region. The vehicles carried food and provisions for local residents on the eve of New Year.
