Armenian oppositionists beaten by brass knuckles and truncheons

Yerevan – APA. Members of oppositionist Armenian National Congress were savagely beaten in Yerevan. According to APA, nearly thirty people armed with brass knuckles and truncheons attacked six opposition activists and beat them. Two oppositionists were seriously injured and taken to hospital. The incident occurred during the rerun election campaign when the members of Armenian National Congress were distributing Aykakan Jamanak newspaper’s editor-in-chief Nicole Pashinyan’s campaign materials. The assaulters demanded to stop opposition journalist’s campaign and beat the oppositionists. The Armenian National Congress valued the incident as a criminal action by the country’s ruling regime.
