CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation holds charitable event in Pashkov House in Moscow  - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

APA’s Moscoq correspondent reports that making a keynote speech at the ceremony, head of the Russian President’s administration Sergei Narishkin said the number of the guests from CIS increases year-after-year.
“The expiring year was marked in CIS as the Youth Year and practice shows that our youth is active and is interested in the projects and events on humanitarian cooperation. One of the brightest projects in this field is the establishment of CIS Youth Symphonic Orchestra. This orchestra will perform in the UN main office on the eve of May 9 – Day of Victory,” he said.

Russian President’s wife Svetlana Medvedeva said humanitarian cooperation is of great importance for CIS countries.
“The CIS countries have great wealth – collection of bright national cultures. It inspirits all of us, enrich the Commonwealth of Independent States with new ideas,” she said.
Touching on the projects implemented by CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation Svetlana Medvedeva said the foundation paid great attention to the youth and children, held charitable events in the children’s homes and places for disabled people in the expiring year.
“All these events devoted to the 65th anniversary of the victory were held under the slogan “We have won together”,” she said.

Chairperson of CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation, Russian President’s aide Jahan Pollyeva expressed her gratitude to all partner organizations for their assistance in the implementation of the projects in 2009.

Kazakhstan’s Minister of Education and Science Zhanseyit Tuymebayev, Russian President’s Special Representative for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy and others addressed the event.

Within the framework of the charitable event, large-screen TV sets and collection of games improving intellect will be presented to the boarding schools for the children with poor eyesight in CIS countries, including Azerbaijan. 10 technical higher schools in CIS countries, including Azerbaijan Technical University will be subscribed to 230 full-text electronic scientific magazines. The veterans of the Great Patriotic War also participated in the New Year ceremony in Pashkov House.
