55 injured in Voronezh blast

Voronezh â€“ APA. At least one person was killed and 55 injured in an explosion on Wednesday in a pyrotechnics warehouse in the southwest Russian city of Voronezh, the local emergency service said, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
The blast and ensuing fire destroyed the one-story building. Firefighters have extinguished the blaze.
A spokesman for emergency service said that "a body was discovered when rescuers began clearing the debris."
He said that the number of injured in the blast has risen from to 55 as "the primary shock has passed and people have begun seeking medical assistance."
Voronezh Region emergency chief Igor Kobzev said 35 of those injured were residents of apartment buildings near the warehouse, and the others were passersby.
The injuries were caused by glass shards from the windows shattered by the explosion.
