Bordyuzha said the events that happened in the Caucasus a year ago once more showed that the use of force did not lead to the solution of conflicts between the states.
“Only peaceful decisions passed mutually by the sides can ensure peace in the Caucasus,” he said.
To the question “How will CSTO react if Azerbaijan wants to get back Nagorno Karabakh in a military way and war begins between Azerbaijan and Armenia?” Bordyuzha said:
“The 4th term of the Collective Security Treaty says that aggression against one member of Collective Security Treaty Organization will be regarded as aggression against all members. We take into consideration only this. The rest are only words that impede, do not favor the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Particularly the meetings of Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijanis President in Moscow and St. Petersburg confirm that the process is going on and each party is ready to seek ways of peaceful solution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict,” he said.
Collective Security Treaty Organization includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
