Baku. Real Jafarli, Shamil Alibeyli – APA. The spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry has been replaced, acting spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry Seyed Abbas Araqchi told local and foreign journalists at the weekly press conference.
According to him, a woman has been appointed as spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry for the first time.
Noting that the new spokesperson will meet with journalists next week, Araqchi didn’t announce her name.
Araqchi also said that Iran has decided for the first time to send a woman ambassador abroad. He stressed that the new government of Iran is interested in involving women in public activities.
At the press briefing, Araqchi thanked all journalists and took leave.
