# 11 September 2013 04:48 (UTC +04:00)

This decision was taken after the negotiations between representatives of the two countries that lasted all night. These representatives are included in the joint committee, which had been set up recently for management of the Kaesong industrial park.

After a pilot launch of the Kaesong industrial complex due next Monday, September 16, the North Korean authorities will permit the South Korean companies operating in the complex to launch a full-scale production in Kaesong, an official of the South Korean Ministry of Unification said.

Meanwhile, the countries agreed to hold a presentation of Kaesong investment capacities at the industrial park.

The Kaesong industrial complex was suspended on April 9, 2013. All previous rounds of talks over the future of Kaesong were futile.

More than 100 South Korean companies operated in the industrial complex, which was considered as a symbol of reconciliation and cooperation between North Korea and South Korea. More than 800 South Korean citizens and about 53,000 North Koreans worked at the enterprises of the industrial complex in clothes making, watch making and assembly of electric home appliances.
