Baku-APAA military judge requested on Thursday death penalty for 31 Palestinians fugitives for being affiliated to an al-Qaida linked terrorist group, the "Abdallah Azzam Brigades", APA reports quoting Xinhua.

According to the National News Agency, the Palestinians were also charged with murder, attempted murder and theft during the clashes that rocked the southern city of Sidon on April 7, in which eight were killed and nine others injured.

An armed clash erupted in Sidon's Miyeh Palestinian refugee camp between the "Abdallah Azzam Brigades" linked group "Ansar Allah", led by its secretary general Jamal Suleiman, and the " Return Group," headed by former Palestinian Authority official Mohammad Dahlan.

Last month, the terrorist group claimed the responsibility of various attacks in Lebanon including the twin bombing of the Iranian embassy in Beirut on November 19, 2013 which killed at least 25 people and injured more than 150 others.
