Baku-APAJordan's largest opposition party voiced Thursday its rejection to any military interference in Syria as the U.S. and its Western allies are weighing a possible strike on the neighboring country over alleged use of chemical weapons, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The Islamic Action Front (IAF), the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood movement in Jordan, said in a statement that a military strike against Syria will not be in the interests of the Syrian people but will only serve the U.S. and Israeli schemes in the region.

The IAF said any attack on Syria may weaken and divide the country in a way as seen in Iraq and Afghanistan.

On Wednesday, the Jordanian government said the kingdom's territories will not be used for launching a military strike against Syria, asserting its support for a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
