Tehran. Suleyman Farzaliyev – APA. Iranian Border Guard Commander Brigadier General Ghasem Rezaie has visited the region bordering with Azerbaijan.
He inspected the Astara (Iran) border checkpoint, IRNA reported.
Rezaie said a project on expanding the Astara customs and border checkpoint will be implemented.
‘According to the agreement between Azerbaijan and Iran, we will implement the program of improving the Astara terminal. There will be a number of replacements on the border,” he said.
Rezaie added that the Astara terminal is highly important for the development of trade relations between the two countries.
“According to the plan, we are going to witness the development of the Astara customs and terminal,” he said.
