Baku-APA. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham denied that Tehran interfered in Yemen's internal affairs, saying such accusations are "baseless," local media reported on Tuesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Such groundless accusations are occasionally raised but the " falsity of these claims is quite clear," Afkham was quoted as saying by Press TV.

According to media reports, Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Monday accused Iran of supporting "southern secessionists and northern rebels in Yemen."

The Islamic republic has always supported unity, stability and integrity in Yemen, the Iranian spokeswoman said.

"We believe that the issues in Yemen can only be resolved through dialogue and a political process in line with meeting the legitimate demands of the country's people and with the cooperation and participation of all the country's political groups and parties, without foreign interference," she said.
