Baku-APA. An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted off the coast of Indonesia, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said on Saturday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The quake hit 164 km northwest of Dobo, the Aru Islands, at 1756 GMT with a depth of 6.8 km. Its epicenter was initially determined to be at 4.3303 degrees south latitude and 133.8311 degrees east longitude, the USGS said.
No tsunami warning has been issued so far, and there is no immediate report of the temblor's impact on the Indonesian coastal region.
