A state official who declined to be mentioned said attackers invaded Gajiram Town of the Nganzi local government area of Borno late Wednesday, killing at least 10 people.
The official, who narrated how villagers scampered for safety, mostly into nearby bushes, also said the gunmen attacked the local government secretariat and a police station in the area.
"As if that wasn't enough, another group of attackers also stormed Bulablin Ngaura Town of Konduga local government area and killed five people on Thursday morning," said Babagoni Bashir, a fleeing resident.
State commissioner of Justice Kaka Shehu was among early callers at Gajiram on Thursday morning, to sympathize with the villagers.
Military authorities were not reachable to shed more light on the two incidents as at the time of filing this report.
Boko Haram, based in northeastern Nigeria, seeks to enshrine the Islamic sharia law into the constitution and declares war against the Western education. The Nigerian government tried in April to broker a ceasefire with the sect but failed.
