Yemen’s capital city of Sana’a and a number of other cities were bombed by warplanes of the United States and the United Kingdom in the early hours of Friday, the Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement was quoted as saying by Al Jazeera, APA reports.
In turn, Sky News Arabia reported that Sana’a International Airport was heavily bombed. Air strikes were delivered on targets in the provinces of Sana’a, Al-Hudaydah, Sa’dah and Dhamar.
Houthi positions near the western Yemeni port city of Hudaida are also under heavy fire, the Al Hadath television said. Also, the US and the UK attacked Ansar Allah bases in the province of Hajjah.
Al Hadath reported that strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen were being delivered by planes, ships and submarines.

According to him, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has briefed members of the UK Cabinet "on imminent military intervention this evening."
Labour Party Leader Keir Starmer and Speaker of the House of Commons Lindsay Hoyle have also been briefed about the plans, the journalist added.
