The United States, South Korea, and Japan held missile defense drills in the Sea of Japan (East Sea) on Sunday, APA reports citing Yonhap.
.The exercises followed North Korea's latest test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) earlier this week.
The drills "focused on practicing procedures to detect and track a computer-simulated ballistic missile target, and share related information," according to the South Korean Navy. "Based on our military's powerful response system and trilateral coordination, [we] will effectively respond to North Korea's nuclear and missile threats," a Navy official said.
