Starting from April 3, Turkish airspace has been closed to the use of airplanes that will use Iraq's Sulaymaniyah International Airport for takeoff and landing, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports citing Turkish MFA.
It was noted that the mentioned decision was taken on the basis of the intensification of the activities of the PKK terror organization in Sulaymaniyah, the presence of members of the terror organizations at the airport, and thus the threat to the safety of flights.
The decision is expected to be valid until July 3, 2023, at the initial stage.
