A military command, launched with the declaration of martial law by President Yoon Suk Yeol late Tuesday, announced a decree banning all political activities, including protests and activities by political parties, APA reports citing Yonhap.
The decree issued by Army Chief of Staff Gen. Park An-su had gone into effect as of 11 p.m.
Entry and exit to the country's parliament have also been suspended. It was reported that neither MPs nor staff of the legislative body are allowed to enter the building.
