The Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry summoned Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom Sufiya Talib al-Suheil in connection with drone strikes launched from Saudi Arabia against the Kingdom and other Gulf states, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry, APA reports.
According to the statement, Deputy Foreign Minister Soud al-Satih presented the Iraqi ambassador with a note of protest, which condemned "the ongoing attacks and threats affecting the Kingdom and brotherly Gulf countries." The Saudi Foreign Ministry emphasized the need for the Iraqi side to "bear responsibility for preventing such threats and attacks" and reaffirmed its "resolute rejection of any infringement on the sovereignty of states and attempts to destabilize the situation in the region."
